In 2017 my life was flipped on its head - and not in a good way. As I muddled through the mess of tragedy, I realized I had made a mistake. I’d been so busy doing what everyone else needed, I forgot about myself.

In an effort to preserve my sanity, I dusted off a secret dream I’d had for years:

I was going to write a picture book.

I signed up for a course, joined a critique group, and I’ve never looked back.

Today I am a mom, the COO of Storyteller Academy, and a writer. I have written that picture book manuscript (and many more.) Now, I’ve got my sights set on a shinier goal . . .
